The folks there are very professional. It took them a couple times to get my glasses just right. But they did it. Since then I have moved on to a different job with different insurance and Harper's doesn't except that insurance for some reason. But I wish they did. Because the eye dr I went to don't have the same quality that Harper's have. I wish they took Guardian insurance so I can come back.

One of the best medical experiences I've had in recent years as a patient! The office operates seamlessly, there's rarely a wait (if ever) and they communicate what the next steps are throughout the visit. Dr. Vanhorn and the front desk staff are fantastic, too! Highly recommend if you need an optometrist in Philly.

Since moving to Miami in 2019, I have encountered various doctor's offices and healthcare systems. This place, personally, is ranked as one of the worst. First off, the front desk personnel is awful - when I say awful, I mean she will roll her eyes in front of your face, be extremely annoyed at you for asking reasonable questions, etc. This is a pediatric practice; these parents are here because they are concerned for their children. The absolute last thing you need is some irrelevant administrator treating you like you're a nuisance for seeking medical care for your little ones. Second of all, they were PERSISTENT on collecting $$$ before you even get to see the physician. We had recently changed our insurance plan, and we asked them to bill the insurance and bill us the relevant fees after the visit. We did this because we wanted to make sure that we verify their CPT codes, and understand (on paper) what we are being billed for. However, the administrator starts rolling her eyes and would not let us see the physician unless everything was paid up front - including paying for tests that were yet to be conducted and for the visit that has not occurred yet. It is obvious to me they only care about money. Why should I pay hundreds of dollars without even knowing why my child needs a certain test and without even having seen the physician? Honestly, if Nicklaus wants to uphold their reputation, they should really work on improving these practices located inside of the hospital. Extremely disappointing.

Great doc!!! Spent a lot of time with me, answered all of my questions with detailed answers. most docs are in and out and you end up spending more time with their assistant. Dr. Phillips took his time and made me feel a lot more confident with my condition. if you already have a ophthalmologist I will still consider giving Dr. Phillips a try.
