I have a rare autoimmune disease that can affect the eyes and cause blindness. My eyes had become bloodshot, so I called Dr. Goldberg’s office. His tech returned my call, and Dr. Goldberg sent a prescription to my pharmacy without seeing me or talking to me. A patient with my autoimmune disease and a new symptom in the eyes should have an exam with an ophthalmologist. Several weeks later, my dermatologist diagnosed me with new ocular involvement from my autoimmune disease. I was disappointed that Dr. Goldberg had not looked at my eyes and given me a correct diagnosis.

August 16, 2021. A revisit was not a good choice. I had my eyes checked and purchased glasses here two years ago. I found the doctor to be good and the person who assisted with my glasses to be efficient so I went back this year. Wrong move. Everything went swell for my eye check. Staff was courteous. I paid for my glasses IN FULL. I never received a call to pick up my glasses. I stopped in to check 4 weeks later and boom. The first thing they ask is, did I receive a call? The guy checked and glasses were there. I tried them on, he did the eye test, gave me the case and I thanked and preceded on my way (I had my two grand kids in tow). As I’m walking down 71st I hear someone yelling my name, to turn around and find the man saying I did not pay for my glasses left me in shock and embarrassed. Chased me down like a criminal. Then after a back a forth and payment confirmation from another staff member he offered a shoddy apology while trying to pacify me. He asked for a hug. But What type of foolishness is this? I will never visit this place again, NEVER!

I've really enjoyed my visits to this office. The receptionist (Kristina) is extremely helpful, polite and knowledgeable. She and Dr. Bhakta are so patient with you even if you have a lot of questions. They make sure you're comfortable during your appointment! Their selection of glasses is also kept relatively up-to-date and I always like looking and trying them on. They have very stylish and cute frames! If you're trying on a pair, don't be afraid to ask for the staff's opinion either. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for eye care.

This Walmart vision center is the best place I have been to when the time came for me to get a new pair of glasses. The overall selection of frames were great and fairly priced, which is important to me as well as a lot of people I’m sure. The friendly staff immediately greeted me upon entry, and when I found the frame I was happy with they were completely transparent with the cost and answered all of my questions and concerns to help me make an informed decision as to the type of lenses I should get. When the time comes again for me to get a new pair, I already know I’m coming back here. Thanks to the amazing associates for such a great experience, it is appreciated!

Five Stars all the way! My wife and I (both mid-to-late 30's) are HUGE fans of Dr. Vyas. It's a boutique practice, meaning the waiting room is not packed full of patients like a typical medical practice where you have to "take a number" and wait like the rest of patients. For example, if your appointment is at 9:30am, you're seeing the doctor at 9:30am. It also means that you get personalized attention with Dr. Vyas, where you can ask questions and he proactively takes time to explain your healthcare. You're never rushed! We value this a ton, as my wife and I like to know what preventative steps we can take to protect our eye health. Dr. Vyas leaves nothing to the imagination. Vilma (office mgr.) is always very helpful in accommodating our busy schedules, ensuring that we have follow up instructions and providing friendly service. The location is right across the street from Home Depot, Rite-Aid Pharmacy and just minutes away from the I-5 Freeway. Plenty of free parking. Check them out you'll be glad you did!

I have been going to see Dr. Barr for many years and although I've moved away from the area, I continue to travel to him for my yearly eye appointments. Dr. Barr and his staff are wonderful and care so much about their patients. I had an emergency eye appointment with him over 15 years ago and not only did he squeeze me into his schedule at lunchtime with no hesitation, he immediately got me an appointment with a retina specialist that day. He was able to catch a serious issue very early that could have cost me my vision. I hear stories from other patients with my eye disorder who didn't have the opportunity to see a talented provider like Dr. Barr and are now legally blind. And we can't speak about Island Eye Care without mentioning Marianne! She has been with the practice for as long as I have been going there and always has a welcoming, friendly smile when I see her with a positive attitude to match!

I did two glasses with them. The first one turned out great. For that reason I came back to put lenses on my second pair. The eye doctor is pretty good. The store associate was just bad. Forgot her name it’s an Indian descent lady. As I said I want a lenses exactly the same as in my first glasses. Well, no it wasn’t the same she added the anti reflecting coating and that’s not what I asked for. But if that’s not enough I purchased the frames myself online brand new out of the box. Few days later she called to pick up my glasses. As I came and checked the glasses I noticed the lenses are not what I wanted but ok I understand it’s too late… ok but that wasn’t the biggest disappointment. I noticed a scratch right on the nose bridge. As I pointed out the lady responded - “you won’t be able to see it from far distance” this was the most unprofessional response I’ve ever heard. As I’m spending $500 Honestly I don’t see me coming back.

I would highly recommend this location. Exceptional service from Melody. Ask her to pick out a frame for you, she picked mine. Beautiful. I'm usually stressed with the puff of air test. But the technician had both eyes done in under 10 seconds. While they allow 2 weeks to get them, I got mine in a few days. Tried them on. Perfect fit. I was a walk in, and got an appt within 10 min. From start to finish, I was impressed with their service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Dr. Feng Was very professional? Ive enjoyed meeting her. Her staff is wonderful. I only have one problem that I didn't like. The idea I was in there 3 hours, I understand that They take their time with their patience. They want to make sure that you get the best of care.
