Let’s first talk about the star of the show, The front desk lady! She’s so sweet, attentive, and friendly. I also love the play center in the waiting room as It had toys for all ages of children. I was running a little late but they luckily had a 30 minute grace period. The doctor took his time and was patient with my 8 month old. He had lots of toys to keep her attention during the exam and talked to her. He’s knowledgeable and yes, he’s not the friendliest personable person to parents but I assume it’s because he’s there to focus on kids (which he’s great with). he’s serious about his job and providing an accurate diagnosis. He also runs the place and he's the only doctor so give him slack. Also, if you have a morning appointment then it’s usually not a long wait at all. I usually do around 10am and get called right back. Be aware that there is no changing table in the bathrooms!

All of the staff were exceptionally pleasant and professional. I enjoyed all of my interaction with the staff at Dr. North and Watson's office and left feeling gratefully for having had such a wonderful experience!

My experience trying to get an appointment with them is so opposite of the service I received at other UCSF facilities. I have VSP insurance but this practice requires a referral to even get an appointment for an eye exam. That is definitely not the approach you expect if they were to have a focus on patient care where you simply offer open appointments. I've had glasses for 40+ years, and yet I need a referral from another doctor for an updated eye exam. That is not a patient-centered approach.

A wonderful doctor and good man. I was diagnosed with glaucoma at age 17 and am now in my 70's. I drive, enjoy my hobbies, read any normal print and am grateful to him for preserving my sight. We're lucky to have him serving Rockford.

Amazing staff, clean environment, and the Dr was great will my children. I highly recommend FOA.

My husband and I both had appointments for an eye exam. We were very pleased with Dr. Paul Preston! He was very informative and a natural at his job! Also, couldn’t have been more pleased with Alonte’! His customer service was absolutely amazing! He connected with us and made everything go so smooth with the purchase of our new glasses. I am a repeat customer and have recommended others to go to this location. Dolly, the manager was exceptionally nice, also!

Ugh. My experience started out great as the doctor I saw was fantastic. However, delivery and communications are terribly disappointing. So much so that I’ll probably be looking for new care going forward. They quoted me two weeks for new lenses. It’s been 5 weeks with no communication and any time I call to check on the status, they say they’ll get back to me and they never do. Also, this place is crazy expensive, so if this is the level of service and follow-through then what a waste of time and money. Bummer because, again, the doctor was so good.

Dr.Burton was great. Came in and did not in any way push surgery on me. He said we could take our time and reevaluate in another year unless my vision worsened. I appreciated his not rushing and he was very pleasant.

Dr. Cohn and his staff are fantastic! I called the office with a lid infection/inflammation. They got me an appointment for the following day at 8 am. Their service was outstanding, and the condition in my lid was entirely resolved. I'm planning to see Dr. Cohn again for my annual eye exam.

Went here for my eye exam. Nice dr basic exam. I needed glasses for distance and reading. I picked two frames. The distance ones where suppose to have blue transistions. They messed up the whole order. The frames I wanted for distance came back as my reading ones. The ones for distance where not glasses I had ordered. But they had blue transistions. They where ugly. The guy told me the girl must of messed up the order. I show them again the frames I want. With the saphire blue transitions. When I went back they had the right glasses but the transistion seemed gray. My husband pointed this out. The girl said they just needed to adjust. She put them under the blue ultra light. Tgey still disnt turn blue. She said give it time. They are still grey. Will not Be back.

The online appointment was quick and easy. The website was easy to navigate and understand. My appointment was a breeze…I was greeted as I walked in and didn’t have to wait long for my eye exam with a real orthodontist. They have the latest equipment and everyone is friendly. I was not rushed through at any point and the doc patiently answered all of my questions. After that, I picked out some glasses from their large selection and went home. About a week later, my glasses arrived and everything was perfect from beginning to end. I got two pairs. One for reading and one for driving. All for just under a hundred bucks!!!
