I have always been very pleased with the service I have received from Dr. Recalde and all of the staff at Lifetime Optometric. They are very prompt and courteous and the exams do not make me feel like I am being tested and examined by an assembly line, as was the case for me previously at larger vision care facilities. Also, they are in a very nice office facility and they have particular familiarity with color vision issues.
Highly recommended!

I’ve been coming here since it opened it was a great experience when Dr. Michael was here. Since then this place has gone to hell. I’ve never had to wait almost an hour to be seen for a scheduled appointment. You can tell it’s chaotic in the waiting room. Nothing for the children to do while they wait an hour. I’ll be looking for another place.
Edit: after a long wait I was told by the assistant
that the X-ray machine isn’t working. They want people to go to another location to get x rays and come back to their office. While corporate decides if it’s a necessity. Also, the DR is rude he doesn’t even introduce himself and speaks to the assistant as if you’re not in the room.

Dr. Vaske was extremely thorough and really listened. I highly recommend him! And it’s so easy to go next door to order glasses. Great experience over all!

I was treated very poorly at Pleasant Eye Care inside LensCrafters and after paying out of pocket for an upgraded eye exam, I still didn't have the information for the frames from a different lab that I wanted.
In desperation, after trying repeatedly to get what I needed from Pleasant Eye Care without success I walked into Independent Optical Where Chris provided me with what I needed in a matter of minutes and refused payment. I will definitely come here next time and highly recommend them. They have an amazing selection of beautiful frames to choose from and the service can't be beat!

To all of my big headed people: go to this practice! Everyone in this office is very pleasant and helpful, especially if you got a big head like me! They ordered up larger frames for me to try on. Of course, show some patience because it could take a little bit of extra time to find glasses that fit. You already knew this, though. You will be happy in the end.

There’s only one person in this office that I really do not like interacting with and I wish I got his name. It’s a heavyset gentleman who does not wear glasses, and today was my second very negative interaction with him.
Of note, everyone else is super nice and helpful.
The first time I had an interaction with this person I was in the middle of a conversation with another staff member about obtaining proper documentation to get reimbursed by my insurance and having an itemized receipt and he abruptly interrupted the conversation to just blatantly state that they can’t give me the medical information that I needed for my insurance to reimburse me. Not only was it extremely rude but when I asked even for a formal letter he said “we don’t do that here”. It honestly was really sketchy to me that he was denying me my own medical information for insurance reimbursement (because I had to pay full price for my appointment) and just totally rubbed me the wrong way.
The second time I interacted with this person was today. I came in to the office to get my glasses adjusted and also to get additional information for my contact prescription. He basically tried to tell me that the information I needed for my prescription is contact specific (diameter or my eye and the base curve). He also tried to tell me I had to come in for another eye exam/fitting to get the contacts I wanted because it’s been 9 months and my script is outdated…. My insurance only covers an exam every two years….. like what? I asked him if he even knew if they carried the brand/type I was looking to get and without hesitation or checking he just says “yes”.
It was very obvious he was just trying to get me to come back for the office to make more money because I would have to pay out of pocket AGAIN.
The eye doctor last time I saw them was very supportive and casual and said just let me know if you need to come in for another fitting like I wouldn’t get charged again for a second visit but now I’m being told I need whole new eye exam by a non medical staff member.
I asked him for information about whether the base curve or diameter of your eye changes over time to which he said “you need to speak to an eye doctor for that”.
Well I looked it up and the diameter of your eye doesn’t change unless you have trauma, glaucoma, cancer or some other serious eye issue. The base curve is how the contact fits on the eye and can vary from contact brand but the brand I wanted was the same brand I had previously.
PLUS I found out the new contacts I wanted have a standard base curve anyways after going home and calling the company that makes the contacts. Which means I was basically lied to by this person to try and get me to come in again. My suspicion is that they don’t even carry the contacts or else they would’ve known this.
So all in all this employee is just very suspect and rude. He did a great job adjusting my glasses but maybe he needs to adjust his attitude, be a little more caring, and be transparent….
I love the front desk staff and the doctors here but I hope I never have to interact with this person again. Sadly I will likely be looking to go elsewhere next time I need an eye exam if I have to keep dealing with this person.
UPDATE:
Charles, the clinic manager, emailed me (likely before seeing this review) and offered for me to come in and do a contact fitting free of charge for the type of contacts I wanted.

Absolutely the worst in patient and post op care.
My Sister is a medical professional. had eye surgery and was very nervous. Requested Sedation .. Versed - which is standard in these procedures. Twice ignored. Third request she stated she was a medical professional and was finally given what she requested.
After surgery in recovery she had severe pain in the eye which also produced a headache. Informing recovery staff they offer nothing. Then being infatic they finally offer tylenol. She is given documents for her release and told to sign them. She does and is told nothing else and is ushered out the door.
She finds out hours after she get's home that she is supposed to use eye drops in her eyes every two hours but was never told this in recovery.
After this the next day she lodges a complaint with the center.
Two staff members blamed the surgeon's desired processes for the reason she did not get the sedation. My sister is fully qualified in conscious sedation so she knows what they are saying makes no sense. Concerning post op lake of care and instructions they said they will talk with the 'technician' Not only is this too late, I cannot understate you are not being tended to by a nurse post op. Just a tech.
Avoid this Surgical Center at all costs... unprofessional or incompetent .. you decide. But the way my sister even as a medical professional was handled and talked to ... if you're a layman ... what chance do you stand?
