Awesome experience as always. Dr. Neagle always delivers. I have been his patient for years and wouldn’t have it any other way. Eyewear Consultant Jac’con was absolutely the best and was so helpful with finding the frames that worked best for me. Highly recommend this location. They have me for life.

I had a good experience here once but not at all recently; watch out, they’ll auction your scheduled appointment off if you don’t confirm it over the phone (even if you confirm it over text it doesn’t actually confirm it). This place used to be my go-to because of the convenience but the confirmation policy and the lack of transparency around pricing for exam services is unprofessional.

Dr. Pluznik did my laser surgery and Dr. Banda did the followup. I couldn't have asked for better care. Great doctors and staff. Easy to get to if you rely on public transportation.

I’ve been a patient here for nearly seven years and have been seen by several of the doctors. Each one has provided me with excellent care. They’ve been very generous with their time to educate me on my condition and quite supportive.

The eye care has been fine. Similar to what I've gotten other places. I would give it about 4 stars. But the administrative aspect is so unbelievably awful that it drags down the entire practice. Because of that, I strongly suggest you avoid this practice. Unless you have spare time to waste going back and forth with people who bill inaccurately, misapply your payments, give you receipts that cause your insurance company to deny your claims, order your contacts in the wrong strength, don't read carefully AND are terribly argumentative and unhelpful after THEY mess something up. Example: Once when the office staff ordered me contact lenses that were -.75 instead of -.50, an office staff member said that it wasn't that big of a difference and why didn't I just wear the wrong ones, instead of them placing a corrected order. So...I should wear a lens that's 150% the strength that my eye needs just so that you don't have to do your job properly? I don't think so. Another example: I contacted the office and requested receipts for services and purchases so that I could submit an out of network claim to my insurer. What they sent me did not contain enough specifics so the claim was rejected. Trying to get corrected receipts from this office staff was like pulling teeth. First they sent receipts that "would be exactly what FSA/HSA needed”. It took 3 more emails to get them to understand that I asked about *insurance*, not FSA/HSA. Then, they sent me receipts that still failed to itemize the service charges, and showed the wrong year for my contact lens purchase. All the while, the staff had a nasty attitude and reacted to my request for accurate documents as if I’d asked them to donate organs or climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. When I simply wanted administrative staff to do administrative work accurately. Two days later, I still don’t have corrected documents, but I have an inbox overflowing with useless, obstinate emails. It’s truly absurd and I would never want anyone else to waste their precious time in dumb, unnecessary argumentative exchanges with Eye Physicians of Washington’s office staff like I have. Spare yourself the headaches and have your eye health handled elsewhere.

I recently moved to DC and was looking for a new eye doctor & while looking I was a little hesitant about coming here because of some of the reviews but I’m really glad I went! I ultimately decided to go because of the commentary about how great the staff is! And much like others have said, the staff was super nice and helpful & the doctor was very polite, efficient, & was happy to answer any questions I had. In regards to cost (which is an issue I’ve seen in other peoples reviews) they have prices which I would consider to be very standard for an eye doctor. In fact, the contacts I ordered were cheaper than I normally get them for. In regards to glasses I did not order any but from my years of experience, glasses are always going to be expensive if you want a quality pair. Also if you’re not content with the cost you can always get your prescription and shop for glasses elsewhere…. They will give you a copy of your glasses and contact prescription. I would also like to say that the sales person who helped me was extremely polite and helpful when it came to understanding the cost & she did not make me feel pressured into buying contacts from the store at all which I really appreciated. I will definitely be going back! Also I’ve never written a google review before but I’ve found that they are useful when trying to find a new doctor. I’m leaving this review for people like me, who might be in search of a new eye doctor, I would recommend going here!

Everyone here is so friendly! I hadn’t been to the eye doctor in 30 years and I was prescribed my first set of glasses but the entire staff was very patient and professional and explained everything from the diagnostic tests to the eyewear choices. Appreciate the kindness and the patience.

I cannot emphasize enough what a terrible place this is. They fitted me for contacts and I received contacts with which I could not even drive. Their policy says you can get refitted and get new contacts, but since I had opened two boxes and used 10 pairs = 20 contacts out of 720!! they gave me only 6 boxes and not the eight they should have given me! I paid near $1,000 for 720 contacts (for a year supply) but I ended up with 540 contacts!! Even though they made the mistake and fitted me with the wrong prescription!! Before this happened I was treated disrespectfully through the whole process, they made comments about me that I could overheard, and on another occasion the optometrist got mad at me bc I was 10 min late. This is a terrible place and I don't recommend anybody to use it. Unprofessional people and be aware of the deceitful policies.

Dr.lee must have fallen from heaven! He was very thorough and very clear in his explanations and very engaging. Every time he writes a prescription for my glasses they're perfect. This was my experience this time as well. I found a glasses from the selection that met my expectations. I like the additional services of checking my eyes my retina and so forth so that Dr Lee can make an informed and intelligent explanation of what these pictures are. I highly recommend this optometrist and this glasses shop

Dr. Lee is such a great eye doctor. He listens, takes the time to hear your concerns, and just makes the entire visit low-stress, informative, and enjoyable. I highly recommend him!
