I have an appointment scheduled at 10:45. I was told to arrive 15 minutes early!! Now it’s 11:20 and know one will even lmk what the hold up is. Been sitting here for over an hour!!! Based on my experience so far I would not recommend this place anyone! Staff just keeps on walking by not even acknowledging my presence and so far I have been waiting well over an hour!

My "eye place" for several years now. I miss Dr. Kirk, but have found Dr. Nagy to be terrific too - knowledgeable, thorough & friendly. Staff were courteous & my wait time was minimal.

I have been wearing Ortho-K for 7 years. I have received continued support even after my brief hiatus from the product. My vision has improved significantly ever since I wore the product and has consistent results. I have 20/20 vision everyday and my eyes feel free because I am not restricted by glasses. I recommended Ortho-K and this office specifically because of their amazing staff and well-renowned doctor/optometrist.

The best eye doc and experience I’ve had…ever! Dr. Elizabeth Vawter takes great care in accuracy and thoroughness while using state of the art diagnostic equipment. She explains everything completely as well as addressing all pertinent history. One of the most considerate things she does is help find the lowest cost.I’m an RN and needless to say, I was very impressed.

I have been a patient for many years. I have a very difficult prescription due to both poor vision and eye muscle issues. Both doctors are knowledgeable, professional and employ the latest technology. They always find time to fit me in for an appointment and try to find the best remedy for my vision issues. Best ever!

Alex is a rockstar! He provided me with top notch customer service during the 2023 Black Friday sale. To top it off, he was the only employee working and managed the flow of customers so gracefully! I enjoyed his energetic presence, candid conversation, and attentiveness to detail. THANK YOU ALEX!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Saved My Eyes (and My Sanity!) – Gateway Village Optometry, San Clemente If I could give more than five stars, I would — because Gateway Village Optometry literally rescued me right before the holidays. Here’s the situation: my 6-year-old son accidentally destroyed my last pair of Ray-Ban prescription glasses (kids + glasses = dangerous combo 😅). I was left practically blind, right before Christmas, which is about the worst timing possible. I honestly thought I was doomed to squint through the holidays. Enter Gateway Village Optometry in San Clemente — absolute lifesavers. From the moment I walked in, the experience was smooth, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Dr. Rick is on another level — calm, knowledgeable, and clearly someone who knows exactly what he’s doing. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure the prescription was spot-on. You can tell he truly cares about his patients, not just rushing people through appointments. And I have to give huge credit to Sima and Dalia — these two are absolute gems. Their customer service was top-notch, friendly, patient, and incredibly helpful from start to finish. They treated my situation like it actually mattered (which sadly isn’t always the case elsewhere). Now here’s the part that still blows my mind: They managed to get me custom prescription lenses with custom tinting done in just FOUR DAYS — during the Christmas season. I honestly didn’t think that was even possible. Not only did they make it happen, but the quality is perfect. Crystal clear, beautiful tint, and fits my Ray-Ban frames flawlessly. I walked out seeing clearly again, stress-free, and honestly just super grateful. This is the kind of place you stick with. I’ll absolutely be relying on Gateway Village Optometry for all my future frames and eye care, no question about it. Professional, fast, friendly, and genuinely caring — everything you want in an optometry office. Huge thanks again to Dr. Rick, Sima, and Dalia. My experience with Dr Kirk and his staff was very professional and the exam was very complete uncovering conditions in my eyes that other doctors had not found. Dr Kirk provided a course of action to improve or keep stable my vision.

Wow! The worst experience in trying to schedule an appointment. The receptionist treated me like a child, as if I didn't know enough about the eyes to request an appointment. What a shame!
