I made an appointment 1 week before the set date and confirmed the email I received. I get to my appointment at the scheduled time, only to be told that they don’t have the confirmation, so my appointment time wasn’t reserved and they no longer have any appointments left. I tried this place a few years ago with a different insurance and the same issue happened. I have different insurance now and decided to check it out again since it’s been a few years and same issue. Wouldn’t recommend.

A week ago I went online to the website to make an appointment and I have yet to hear back from them. I did get an automatic email acknowledging my apart request, but nothing else. So, I went with another eye doctor as this shows me that if they can’t respond to something as simple as an appointment request, I surely cannot trust them with my vision needs.

I had a LASIK procedure done at Excel Laser Vision Institute a few years ago, and it has left me with permanent vision loss in my right eye and a condition called Keratoconus. Keratoconus is an eye condition in which the cornea becomes thinner and gradually bulges out into a cone shape. What makes matters worse is that the doctor who performed the LASIK procedure, Dr. Ferzaad Moosa, failed to warn me that my cornea was too thin to safely perform the procedure. As a result, I now suffer from daily eye pain, migraines, and permanent vision loss in my right eye. I went back to Excel Laser Vision Institute to share my concerns, but they were unhelpful and dismissive. They failed to take responsibility for the complications that arose from the LASIK procedure and did not provide me with any support or assistance. This has been an extremely difficult experience for me to endure, and it has impacted my quality of life in a significant way. I now have to live with the consequences of a procedure that was performed without proper warning or consideration for my safety. I would strongly caution against choosing Excel Laser Vision Institute for any vision correction procedures, especially with Dr. Ferzaad Moosa. They do not prioritize patient safety or take responsibility for the complications that arise from their procedures. If you're considering a LASIK procedure, I urge you to do your research thoroughly and choose a reputable clinic that values patient safety and is transparent about the risks and potential complications of the procedure.

After like a decade of neglecting to get new glasses and an eye exam, I recently went to W. Optical. I had a great experience and paid less for my glasses than expected.

I saw Dr. Merlino for a second opinion on my prescription recheck after not being able to see correctly out of my new glasses. Visionworks had made my glasses correctly, so they recommend that I get a second opinion, and have my vision rechecked. Dr. Merlino was able to see me right away-even though it was nearly 5pm. He was very thorough, listened to all of my concerns, and was able to identify where the other doctors office had gone wrong. I received a new glasses, prescription, and vision Works started right away on making my glasses right. I am now switching to Dr. Merlino and will recommend him and vision works to anyone needing glasses or contacts!

While I was seeing Dr. Kung today, one of the technicians brought me in but she was rushing me. I overheard that she complaining about how she didn’t want to miss her break, that she has to make her break. She rushed me and didn’t even answer any of my questions I had. I never got her name but she has very short hair. This is extremely unprofessional, I should not feel rushed while seeking medical care. Thankfully Dr. Kung was able to help explain and answer my concerns. I will not be coming back but this issue needs to be addressed.

Deena was very helpful. She helped me pick the best color lenses for my sunglasses. They turned out beautifully! Without her help I would not have known what would be a good complimentary color for the frames I chose. I would highly recommend Deena. Posted on behalf of my mother, Roseanne Frantz.
