I’ve been having some eye issues for a week now and wanted a place that could help me and that I could get in and out of fast. This was the first place to pop up on my maps and I’m so glad I went. I called at 11:30am and they were able to get me in at 12. Once I got there signed a few forms and met with dr Horowitz quickly. He was so helpful and friendly which went a long way! Doctors have always scared me a bit and dr Horowitz really calmed my nerves, the eye exam was quite simple and he made me feel relaxed. Gave me some free samples of eye drops and cleansing pads for my eyes. I had a million questions and he answered them all, most doctors I’ve been to lately act like they don’t have enough time for the patient and are too busy for their questions, I was so glad that wasn’t my experience here, it was refreshing! Everyone on the team was very very nice and helpful. Thank you 20/20 optical!

I will say that I was very nervous about going to this location because out of their last 10 reviews, 8 were negative with one star. I even thought about just canceling my appointment and going somewhere else. The reviews are true. You can't look at frames unless you are seen by the doctor for an eye exam. So if you are trying to shop for frames, don't come here. However, the staff that I interacted with were very friendly and professional. The doctor seemed very knowledgeable, and she was confident in her skills. Overall, I don't see why anyone would have a bad experience here unless you're trying to see what frames they have available before you schedule an eye exam. I do think that policy is absurd, but I wonder what the reason behind it is.

Dr Purgert is an exceptional eye doctor in many different ways .He explains everything in detail and makes you feel very comfortable with exams and updates. The staff is exceptional in caring for your needs as well. I am extremely grateful for him and staff. Highly recommended in my opinion for your eye care needs.

Very warm welcome as I entered. All the staff was very kind and pleasant. Most importantly, they were upfront about what my insurance covered and would not cover so I wasn’t caught off guard with an out of pocket expense. I had the opposite experience at MrEyeDr where they told me at the end that my insurance didn’t cover something and I had to pay out of pocket but never gave me the option to opt out or weigh my options. I found that to be unethical and bad practice. I decided to try EyeMax and wasn’t disappointed. Thank you for a great first time experience at your facility. We will come back every year.

Accurate eye testing makes for accurate eye glasses to enhance the vision

Been to Dr Lind multiple times. Seemed thorough and patient with me. Twice I returned because my lenses didn’t seem right. For my distance there was still blurry vision. He was more than happy to do the exam and check the prescription again. Twice he indicated that the prescription was exactly the same. He also said he would never be able to get 20/20 vision for me. Relocation to the Philadelphia area, go to a new opthamologist, along with their optometrist who does the refraction. I explained my vision was blurry for distance even with newer prescription. Her refraction indicated a much weaker prescription for both eyes. She indicated one was off by 1.25. I’m waiting on my new glasses to compare.

The Optical Center at Kaiser Lutherville has been so great with all my children's glasses needs. Even when it took months for glasses to come in due to the government shutdown, they were so responsive and communicative about the delivery time. The whole staff works great with children and every experience has been positive. Thank you all for all you do!
