I thought the staff was friendly but the check in was long. Oh sorry I have an appointment today but I got the bubble guts so I'm going to do a walk in at myvreferring Dr's (America's Best) later and try to reschedule. And I hate that it feels like there is only one restroom. If you get stranded it is a turbulent brisk walk to the nearest bus stop. So bring your cane or walker if you have one.

Staff were great. Reassuring, caring, kind and calming. My only complaint is in pre op, it is a small space, patients are separated by a curtain. The patient next to me was talking very loud which did not help my anxiety level. I wish the staff would have told him there are other patients close by to please keep his voice down. This same patient happened to be at his follow up appt the same time as mine.

Called today because my son kicked me in my eye and it was a pain I’ve never felt before. They got me an appointment the same day as a new patient. Dr Miller was an absolute angel and definitely helped me today, thankfully the whole team did, I was very scared and needed to be treated by the right authorities so I’m very grateful especially now to be a patient of theirs.

My experience with the Boise Id Visionworks was exceptional. I was trying to order glasses online with my insurance, but the website was unable to add my full prescription. After a call or two to customer service I was connected to an associate at the Boise store. The service was excellent! I will absolutely use Visionworks again for future needs!

The office was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and professional in their approach as I was a new patient to the practice. The doctor was very personable and answered my questions. I felt I had a thorough exam.

I am always so impressed with the selection and service at City Optometry. Everyone I've interacted with there has been very friendly and professional. At my last couple of visits, Alejandro very patiently helped me pick out glasses and sunglasses and did an incredible job reading me and my style and figuring out what to purchase. As a very indecisive shopper, it was very helpful and it felt like a very "high end" experience, which I don't expect when picking out glasses. He made me realize that helping someone pick frames is an art form, one he is very talented at! I highly recommend this place if you want full service treatment and a positive experience!

Your Right to Your Prescription
Your eye care professional has to give you a copy of your prescription — whether you ask for it or not. It’s the law. For glasses, they must give you a copy immediately after you get an eye exam that includes a refraction, and before they offer to sell you eyeglasses. For contact lenses, they have to give you a copy after your fitting is complete (which may require two visits).
To get your prescription, know that your eye care professional
•Can’t make you pay an extra fee
•Can’t say you have to buy eyeglasses or contact lenses
•Can’t tell you to sign a waiver or release
ITS THE LAW THAT YOUR EYE PRESCRIPTION MUST HE RELEASED TO YOU AND AN EYE DOCTOR CANNOT FORCE YOU TO BUY FROM HIM OR HER.
FORCING YOU TO SIGN A CONTRACT VIOLATES THIS LAW.
Here’s what to know:
You don’t have to buy glasses or contact lenses from your eye care professional. You have a right to go and find the style (for glasses) and price that work for you somewhere else, in person or online. Having a copy of your prescription lets you do that.
You have a right to get an additional copy of your contact lens prescription. If you need another copy of your prescription, or a business has your permission to get a copy, your eye care professional has 40 business hours to send it.

I had an amazing experience with an America’s best contacts and eyeglasses The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. You can tell that the staff truly wants to help their customers and a huge thank you to Samantha and the manager Jean for helping me through the step-by-step process from exam to receiving my glasses. Amazing service!

I once lauded Dean McGee Eye Institute for its courtesy and expertise, but my experience today completely changed that perception. The staff do not care at all about your time and will make you wait 2+ hours to see a doctor for a low-quality appointment. For context, my family and I reached the center at 12:30 PM (with appointment at 2 PM) and left it at 4:30 PM. Considering we drive 150 miles here for an annual check-up, that is absolutely ridiculous. No other medical facility requires patients to invest 4 hours of waiting for a 30 second appointment. There were multiple instances where I wanted to leave the waiting room and never come back again.
Unfortunately, "never come back again" now seems like a reality after the disrespect and lack of professionalism I witnessed today. If you are going to make a patient wait that long, the doctor should at least compensate with a reasonable and detailed evaluation, rather than saying "goodbye" two seconds after saying "hi." Or if you are going to make us wait that long, don't give us an appointment in the first place. Absolutely devastated and do not recommend.
