An amazing and knowledgable team. Dr. Patel made sure I understood what was happening to my eye. The information he provided put me at ease. As a first time patient, I can see why this practice is highly rated.

I've been seeing Dr. Klasman for 3 years now for annual visits. He is nice and kind and explains things in detail. He even makes a joke or two and that helps to lessen my anxiety.
However, the older woman who works at the desk and helps with glasses once told me I had to buy glasses from them to get my Dist PD. I thought that was weird , never been told that by any other eye doctor. The last pair of glasses I got from there were over 400.00. I cannot afford to buy glasses every annual visit. She also explains insurance details regarding what they will and won't cover entirely too fast. Side note: You never know if people have disabilities that may affect their ability to process information, sometimes it helps to slow it down. Nonetheless, I like the office will be returning, next year.

I was told my my doctor that I needed a field vision test due to my eyebrows drooping. It was affecting my vision which is why I went to both my eye doctor (previous to this to get my vision tested) and my other doctor. I asked the tester if there was training she did to learn how to conduct the test and was told someone showed her how to do it and my test was her 5th one. The chin bar moved the entire time and I was told that was normal. Also, lights directly in my field of vision kept blinking and at one point I asked if that was correct and she said no and would try to make it stop. This happened on 3 of the 4 tests. (2 tests for each eye). My chin was in the middle bar during one test and my eyes had to be taped more than one time. I should have told the doctor, totally on me, but I called my doctor from the parking lot and told him what had happened. He sent me elsewhere and it was a totally different experience. Girl that did the test had been doing them for 15 years. Test took a quarter of the time and then doctor put results on the screen and explained, examined my eyes and took some measurements. None of that at Normandy. That being said, all were nice, but would not return.

Dr. Parisa Foroutan went above and beyond to listen to me and correct something that was done incorrectly elsewhere. She even found me contacts that are SO MUCH more comfortable. I will be switching my daughter to this doctor because she has such an empathetic and kind presence along with being incredibly intelligent and helpful.
When I went back to order my constant lenses and see about glasses repair, the wonderful woman there made sure that I had exactly what I was asking for and helped me to check what my insurance offered to help find the best deal. She ended up saving me a ton of money and gave me all my prescription info and wrote down extras (with newly taken measurements for contacts and glasses in case I needed to order online). She spent a lot of time and went way above what I expected when I read reviews prior to going in. Also, the waiting area is just adorable. I love that there wasn’t a TV, a quiet cozy space, natural light, and comfy chairs with tons of reading options for littles. The pictures shown are from one of the waiting areas.

I simply submitted a request to see a specialist and my insurance never ever requested referrals to see any specialist. The lady in the phone informed me that I have to go through a regular doctor visit with them or get referral to see the specialist I said I have a referral already from my primary doctor, however she said that I still have to go through a general visit first and that’s the insurance policy. I believe That’s not true, and I will call my insurance and tell them that and find out why I been told that way

I’ve been going to Eye on Island for 15 years, and I can’t recommend them enough. My entire family has always had wonderful experiences there. The staff is incredibly friendly, patient, and accommodating, and they never make you feel rushed—especially when you’re taking your time picking out the perfect pair of lenses or frames. They truly care about making sure you’re comfortable and happy with your visit. I wouldn’t trust my eye care to anyone else!
