We have been going to dr Barry 2 yrs now. He is very thorough.

I scratched my cornea and my ER doctor setup what I thought was an appointment for the morning. My husband brought me 15 minutes early for paperwork and we waited an hour. I asked how much longer it was going to be as my husband still had to go to work, and they moved us to a waiting room in the back that was jam packed. By that point my eye was killing me so I asked my husband to just go home and I would go to a different place. When I asked the receptionist for a refund on my $50 deposit I was called into a side room where I was told Dr. Wang would see me really quick. He didn't see me at all! What he did was yell at me about how he had other patients and how we HAD to be there and how my husband would just have skip work and how I was going to lose my vision. It scared my 5 year old and my husband didn't know what the heck to do as neither of us have ever been yelled at and berated by an office for leaving. I was then told if I wanted to leave I had to sign some "refusal for treatment" paper but from what I could read, it didn't say anywhere on the paper "refusal for treatment". We were then told that since we paid with a debit card, they couldn't refund the card, they would have to mail a check in 10 business days. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. I have NEVER been yelled at in an office by a doctor for needing to leave early, but I surely will never be yelled at by Wang again.

The selection was extensive, and the customer service was excellent. I highly recommend this place for both glasses and sunglasses. I will definitely return again.

Woman at front desk is extremely rude and unprofessional. She acts annoyed simply to have to answer a question or get a form. I told her my insurance name and she said "we don't accept that." I told her ok and asked for a reimbursement form and her response was "Well, I guess I could find you one if we even have any." I told her don't bother it seems to be too much trouble. I dropped my teenaged son off for an appointment and arrived nearly an hour later and went inside where he was still the only person in the waiting room. I asked him "all done?" She said "No, he's not all done." He and I just looked at her. A little while later he was called back by the doctor and literally in and out from the exam in 5 minutes. No apologies or explanations for the wait. With so many options, why choose a place that could care less about their patients experience?

I was very pleased with the care that I received from Dr. Singh during my recent visit this past week. Not only is he very kind and professional, he is a talented diagnostician and truly listened to my concerns. He was able to locate the issue (which was a bit tricky, because it was hiding a bit) and quickly made the necessary arrangements for me to be seen by a retina specialist the next day for laser repair on my right eye. I’m grateful for his expertise - his credentials make him a very good match for my unique eye care needs, so I will be returning to this office for my regular checkups going forward. I feel very confident that my vision is in good hands with Dr. Singh. I’d like to add that the office and support staff are also very professional and kind. Clearly there is a culture of caring, which makes a big difference for me as the patient. Things ran in a timely manner, and I observed a lot of organization and clear communication. Huge thanks, keep up the fantastic work! It is much appreciated.

Excellent doctors, friendly staff that helped me to feel like everyone cared. Here they treat you like a human being and not another number. Highly recommend.

Dr. Levine and his staff are A+! I appreciate the thorough examinations and that results are explained in detail. The staff and office environment always have a positive vibe which, is a HUGE plus for me. Love love love that they always have a great selection of eyewear to choose from at reasonable prices. Excellent eyeglass place and prob one of the best on staten island. I deal with Chris most times but the staff is fantastic. Pricing is fair and exams are in depth as well. I have never had a issue with these guys at all and they are always willing to work with you.

I had a very similar experience like the other lady, I took my dad for his appointment. I always felt like this doctor has a bad bedside manner, most times he doesn’t even answer our questions or ignores them and gives attitude. Recently we were less than 10 mins late because the road was closed due to an accident, I had called the office and left a message because they didn’t answer the phone. The staff was chit chatting and made us wait another 5 minutes. He didn’t take us after waiting months for an appointment and told me to reschedule. So it’s okay for the patient to wait 40 mins to an hour every single time in the waiting room but not vice Versa?

Dr. Nugyen has been mine and my son’s doctor for over 20 years! She is so caring and spends time with you to figure out what your problem is and that’s what I love the most about her and her staff!
